TikTok star Charli D’Amelio is currently the queen of the Chinese platform. Her massive fame comes with a price though as she is a subject of body shaming.
The 15-year old TikTok star blasted critics on her Twitter account telling them to stop talking about her body.
Body shaming on social media
According to reports, the tweet came after D’Amelio received body shaming comments on a bikini photo that she posted on her Instagram account.
Comments like, “That is not a woman’s body, women’s [bodies] are not long like that” forced her to delete the photo. She was clearly affected by the trolling. But she’s had enough of the negative comments.

“STOP TALKING ABOUT MY BODY!” the social media star tweeted. She then told them that it’s not their place to tell her if she is losing or gaining weight.
She also reminds them to be just respectful and be kind to everyone around. Instead of trying to bring others down, people should be uplifting each other.
She ended her message that body shaming is never okay. And though she loves her followers, she begs them to just stop.
Addison Rae gets body shaming as well
D’Amelio also mentioned in her tweet that her friends are also getting body shaming from trolls.
Reports reveal that her fellow social media star Addison Rae Easterling, colloquially known as Addison Rae, also got the same insensitive comments online.
Addison Rae also addressed the issue through her Twitter account. “I’ve seen 5-10 tweets & TikTok today talking negatively about my body and weight,” she wrote.

She said that it made her insecure but luckily she has been looking at it in a different perspective. It has also motivated her to start eating clean and to workout everyday to “become the healthiest version” of herself.
The 19-year old TikTok star had voiced out her sentiments a week prior to D’Amelio’s tweet. She returned to the platform to give her support to her.
“It is not your job to judge the appearance of another persons face and/or body,” she wrote on the same day D’Amelio tweeted.
The TikTok celebrities
Both Charli and Addison Rae own a large following in their respective TikTok accounts. The former is currently at the number one spot with over 50 million followers while the latter has over 30 million followers.
Charli quickly became popular thanks to her dance videos and her involvement with Hype House, a group composed of TikTok content creators.
She also made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon wherein she talked about cyberbullying.
