Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the breakout game of 2020, and it’s even able to grab the attention of non-gamers as well. Though light and casual, the game features a lot of things to do.
Running an island is apparently not an easy thing to do. As such, we’re going to share some Animal Crossing: New Horizons tips that newbies and veterans would certainly benefit from.
Stock up on materials
Early in the game, players will sell just about anything to earn those Bells. Fishes and bugs are a great way to start becoming a “Bellionaire,” and players should keep it that way. Some may be tempted to sell wood, branches, and weeds, but these materials will be handy later on once players begin crafting their own furniture.
These crafting materials are abundant early in the game, but it would be best to have them in your storage.
Don’t miss out on events
Seasonal events are going to be a huge part of the game. They’re not just a way to spice things up every once in a while; these events also provide players with limited time items that they should collect. Whenever an event arrives, players should do their best to participate.
Mine rocks easily
When hit with a shovel or an axe, the stones in the game can spawn iron nuggets, rocks, clay, and even bells. The catch is that players must hit the stones consecutively to get the most out of it. Players can farm a stone for a total of nine times, but that’s if they can hit it nine times in a row. Each hit pushes the player back a bit, making it hard to farm it completely.
To do it properly, players should first dig a hole behind them. Once dug, they should begin hitting the rocks. The hole will prevent the players from recoiling completely.
Use QR codes for better patterns
There are a lot of skilled players in Animal Crossing: New Horizons players out there. If you want to look for a specific pattern, there’s probably one created by others. The best way to copy the patterns is by having a Nintendo Online mobile app. This will allow players to scan QR codes, which they can then use to transfer new patterns into the game.
Work with others
Although a single-player experience mostly, the game does encourage playing with others online. This allows players to get the fruit they don’t have on their island, buy goods from the shop of others, and more. Players can even trade with one another if they want to do so.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a great experience. Following these tips above can help players turn their deserted island into a paradise.
