Anna Kendrick is an in-demand actress today, appearing on Disney+, HBO Max and Quibi. But before all of her lead roles, she was Jessica on Twilight and according to her filming the movie was quite a challenge.

Anna Kendrick is everywhere nowadays. She has been doing projects left and right and so it’s no surprise that she is one of Vanity Fair’s guest to break down her career.

Talking about the timeline of her career, Kendrick opened up about Twilight, a 2008 hit movie adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s novel of the same title.

The 34-year old actress played as Jessica Stanley, who is a friend of Bella (Kristen Stewart) at Forks High School. It was a minor role but it paved way for her to be part of a cult phenomenon.

She also appeared in four of the saga’s five-part movie series, which really served as a launching pad for her acting career.

 Filming for Twilight

It’s been 12 years already since the first installment of the vampire romance-fantasy movie was released. But just recently, Ana Kendrick revealed to Vanity Fair what it was really like filming the movie.

It seemed like it was a perfect working environment basing on how successful the movie was. But behind the success was a story that Kendrick could not forget.

The A Simple Favor star revealed that working for Twilight movie wasn’t always pleasant as she would have hoped.

She said that she remembers it being so “cold and miserable” because of the film’s location, Portland, Oregon.

The city was chosen as the setting because they needed to be in a place that best depicted the Forks in the book.

The weather in Portland then was fitting and perfect, but Kendrick was not a fan of it. She also joked about what it felt like being in the set.

“And I just remember my Converse being completely soaked through and feeling like, ‘You know, this is a really great group of people and I’m sure that we would be friends at a different time, but I want to murder everyone,’” the Trolls star said.

Bonding moment

Kendrick cannot deny though that despite the weather, the bondings she shared with her co-stars are irreplaceable.

“Although, it was also kind of bonding,” she said. “There was something about it, like if you go through some trauma event. Like you imagine people who survive a hostage situation, and you’re kind of bonded for life.”

Anna Kendrick currently stars in romantic comedy anthology series Love Life.
