The listing of the upcoming phone on the Google Play Console corroborates the specifications that were outed previously by Geekbench.
Days after the Motorola Edge debuted on Geekbench, a set of its key specifications are now confirmed, all thanks to its listing on the Google Play Console.
A new listing
According to the listing, the Motorola Edge will be launching with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 chipset right at its helm. Additionally, its presence also affirms that the device is set to sport 6GB of RAM and Android 10 out of the box. The phone is also confirmed to pack a FullHD+ display.
Other vital features that were revealed by the listing of the Motorola Edge on the said platform are Adreno 620 GPU, resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, and 440 screen density. Note that some of these specifications were already revealed when it passed through Geekbench days ago.
A 6.67-inch OLED with 90Hz refresh rate
While the rest of the features of the Motorola Edge are still up in the air, previous leaks indicated that the phone is gearing up to be a high-profile mid-range phone. They claim that the phone would sport a 6.67-inch OLED display with a refresh rate that can be clocked to up to 90Hz. Also, a screen cutout at the top-left corner of the display, one that would house a 25MP selfie snapper, can be expected, as evidenced by the phone’s recent live images.
Spotted in the wild
Thankfully, we’ll now have a good idea as to how the Motorola Edge will look like at the time of its launch. A live image was just leaked, showing the phone’s rear camera design. Right off the bat, the handset is seen to be toting around a triple-camera setup, which is likely to comprise 64MP, 16MP, and 8MP sensors. Meanwhile, the fourth module appears to be the phone’s laser autofocus.
The Motorola Edge, which boasts a shiny burgundy red color variant on the live image, also appears to be only sporting the Motorola logo, without it doubling as its fingerprint reader. As such, the phone might very launch with an in-display fingerprint reader. The handset’s power and volume buttons can also be seen, all housed on its right edge.
Other rumored features
Apart from the abovementioned speculations, the Motorola Edge is also tipped to feature a massive 4,500mAh battery and 128GB of internal storage.
