Niantic is set to launch two new features for its game, Pokemon Go.
With the new features, trainers can soon customize their gifts with Pokemon Go stickers. Players can also invite friends to join Raid Battles regardless of their location.
New Features
Niantic, Pokemon Go’s developers, has decided to reveal a sneak peek of two new exciting additions to the game for the summer. The first is the Pokemon Go stickers, which are a great way of personalizing gifts before sending it to friends.
The second is the ability to add friends to a raid battle regardless of their location. This new feature sounds like a game-changer for the game’s raid battle system.
The announcement didn’t specify when the new features will be released. However, once these kinds of announcements are made official, it will only take a few days before they are introduced to the game.
Both features will only be limited at launch, while more options and improvements will be added in the long run.
Introducing Remote Raid
Raid Battles will now finally allow players to invite their friends to join in various raid battles regardless of where they are in the world.
It means a player in North America can now join team up with a friend in Australia for an exciting raid battle. Once the invite is sent, the player will find the raid in the Nearby option and push notification menu.
Players will then see a plus button in their raid lobbies. Players who are personally in the raid spot will be able to tap the plus button and can then invite friends.
However, the player inviting a friend to a raid battle must be competing personally and not another remote player. The host player can invite up to five friends as long as they have a Raid Pass ticket.
Niantic announced that this new feature would be released after the Reshiram Raid event is finished. Reshiram will be in the raid battles until June 16, 2020.
It means players can expect the launch of the Remote Raid feature in the third or fourth week of June.

On the other hand, Pokemon Go Stickers will allow players to customize the gifts they send to friends. There will be at least five various stickers available when the feature is launched, and players will get this first set for free.
Pokemon Go stickers are one-time use items, but they can be obtained by opening other gifts. Furthermore, stickers will also be available in the Pokeshop for purchase, but prices and other details haven’t been announced yet.
