The Redmi 10X could also very well launch as the first phone to support dual SIM 5G.

We’re days away from the official announcement of the Redmi 10X series. As it is, the details surrounding its key features and specifications are pouring in.

30x zoom capability with OIS

The latest to emerge from the grapevine is about the Redmi 10X’s camera offerings. The official Redmi page on Weibo shared a teaser which revealed that the phone would arrive with a 30x zoom capability, alongside an optical image stabilization (OIS) on one of its cameras.

Additionally, it’s shared that the cameras of the phone would launch with some AI features. According to Redmi, these perks are developed for “creative inspiration.”

The “Star” track mode

Meanwhile, in a separate post on the Chinese social media platform, the company’s product director Thomas Wang added that the series’ 10X Pro variant would also come with its own headline-grabbing camera feature.

Accordingly, snapping a long-exposure photo during the night would be a breeze for the said edition. This is all made possible by what the firm called the Star track mode. The executive also shared that the 10X Pro edition should be able to take an impressive photo in only a single click, sans the need for manual adjustments of ISO, post-stacking, and aperture.

Ultimately, it is the phone’s chipset that is set to provide users with more accessible options to express their talents in photography.

First phone to be equipped with dual SIM 5G support

Before the revelation about the Redmi 10X lineup’s key camera features, the series also hinted at arriving with dual SIM 5G support. If this turns out to be accurate, then the Redmi 10X will be the first one to be equipped so.

The Redmi 10X is also tipped to launch with an AMOLED display, a screen feature rarely seen in its price range. As such, the phone will also have the Always On Display feature. Besides, it appears that it is a feature that will be highly customizable with text, patterns, and images. Apart from the clock and notifications, of course.

Alongside the vanilla Redmi 10X, Redmi is also mulling over to announce two more phones in the fold – the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro 5G. Some of their purported features were already released to the wild. These include a possibly cheaper pricing, 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and multiple cameras in some of these variants.

The Redmi 10X series is scheduled to be unveiled on May 26.
