Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, the first-ever Star Wars game show to be produced, will be making its debut this coming June 3 on the official Star Wars Kids YouTube channel, as well as on StarWarsKids.com.
The schedule of the game show’s premiere was announced through the official website Star Wars, and at the same time, the news was also shared through the franchise’s official Twitter page.
Knowledge. Strength. Bravery. Young Padawans must test their skills in a series of trials designed to see who is capable of becoming Jedi Knights.

The game show will be hosted by none other than Ahmed Best, who might be more familiar to fans as the voice actor behind Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars prequels. In the show, he will serve as Jedi Master Kelleran Beq.
Also starring in the game show is Mary Holland (of Veep fame), who provides the voice of the protocol droid AD-3, and Sam Witwer (the voice behind Darth Maul in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series), who plays the voice of the Dark Side of the Force.
Game show mechanics
In Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, teams consisting of a couple of kid members each will be tasked with going through a trio of challenging rounds.
In the first challenge, the Padawan contestants will undergo a strength trial supposedly in a planet far, far way, which is actually an obstacle course incorporating a Star Wars theme.
The second challenge involves a knowledge trial set inside a Jedi Star Cruiser. In this round, the younglings will have to solve loads of puzzles and answer trivia questions.
The final trial takes place inside the Jedi Temple, and combines different obstacles for the Jedi initiates to overcome.
Double feature debut
When Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge premieres next week, it will serve up a pair of episodes on StarWarsKids.com, as well as on the Star Wars Kids YouTube Channel.
In the succeeding weeks, the game show will offer fresh episodes on a weekly basis.
Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge was first introduced back in December of last year, and was originally intended to be released through Disney Plus.
To date, no official announcement has been made whether the game show will be made available via Disney Plus as well.
More coming soon from the franchise
The most recent trilogy may have concluded with the release of last year’s The Rise of Skywalker, but that doesn’t mean Star Wars fans no longer have something to look forward to in the coming months or years.
For one, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is set to make a new Star Wars full-length feature film in the near future.
Last year’s hit series The Mandalorian has already wrapped up production for its second season, without any delays, and with a third season on the way, and there’s talk that Boba Fett will appear in future episodes, as well as fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson.
